Fossil free Denmark
Denmark, the European Union’s biggest oil producer, is to stop offering new licenses in the North Sea and totally phase out production during 2050.
The decision by the Danish government means a planned 8th licensing round will not proceed.
The government says it will work to establish alternative employment options.
