The long running Polymer Study Tour at Edinburgh Napier University has been revamped taking in to account the feedback from teachers in previous years.  The first day covers the basics of the structure, properties, applications and processing of polymers and the focus of the second day is industry visits. The timetable for the two days is as follows:

Sunday 07 June
1230 Arrival and registration at Edinburgh Napier University, Merchitson Campus
1300 Polymer materials, processing and applications
1400 Break
1415 Polymer workshop - Make and break
1915 Course dinner
Monday 08 June
0800 Coach depart accommodation
0900 Ineos, Grangemouth visit
1130 DS Smith Packaging, Livingstone
1415 Rosti, Larkhall including Using what you have learnt in the classroom and feedback
1715 Coach returns to accommodation and course close

Overnight accommodation is provided in the University's Pollock Halls and all meals and refreshments are included. All you have to do is get yourself to and from the venue! Merchiston Campus is only a few miles from Ediburgh city centre and is serviced by a regular bus service. Alternatively, parking is available on site if you wish to travel by car.
