Professional Graduate (ProfGradIMMM)
The Professional Graduate grade, ProfGradIMMM, is the second step in a graduate's professional journey. It is awarded once the individual has gained two years of relevant working experience, which can include time spent undertaking an internship or in completing a PhD. Those holding this grade are eligible for the following benefits:
- Can use the designatory letters 'ProfGradIMMM' after their name.
- Can apply for an interim assessment of their professional experience for the purposes of Competent Person Registration (CPR) in the future as, for example, a CEng or IEng.
- Can apply for a Mentor to support their path to CPR.
Hold a master's or bachelor's degree in a subject related to the technical outreach of the Institute and have two years' relevant working experience.
Competent Person Registration (CEng, IEng, CSci, RSci, CEnv)
The Institute is licenced to award professional registration to its members operating as engineering, science and environmental practitioners. Further details on what is required in terms of experience and how to apply can be found on the Professional Registration webpage.
