On 17 September, the Norwegian Oil Industry Association (OLF) will change its name to the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association (Norwegian Oil and Gas). "Oil, and not least gas, are key energy sources, and will continue to be so for generations to come. The new name is a more precise expression of who we are today, and who we will be in the future," says director general Gro Brækken in Norwegian Oil and Gas.Norwegian Oil and Gas will continue its role as professional body and employers’ organisation for oil companies and supplier firms on the Norwegian shelf.

“Both the oil and gas industry and society at large have undergone significant change since OLF took its name 23 years ago. Our organisation has also changed. By changing our name to Norwegian Oil and Gas, we can communicate even more clearly who we work for, and that we represent the entire Norwegian oil and gas industry, including both oil companies and supplier firms,” says Brækken.
