Final call for abstracts for Rolls 2020 Conference
Following the success of the five previous conferences on rolling mill rolls for metals processing, the sixth roll conference Rolls 6 (2020) will be organised over three days 3–6 June 2020 in London at One Great George Street. The conference is now inviting abstracts with the deadline to submit on 1 November 2019.
Rolls 6 will cover all major themes of rolling mill rolls for metal processing – in-depth scientific and technical papers will be interlaced with lectures on business trends and developments in the rolls and metal rolling industries, an experts’ panel discussion and a concurrent exhibition. This is a must-attend event that will help with the understanding and satisfying user demands – looking at limits and new solutions for rolls in increasingly powerful mills and new mill designs, to enable hot and cold rolling of the most challenging novel materials.
‘This event is for all people involved in the fabrication and use of work rolls. Major roll makers and steel companies will be present, worldwide-recognised researchers in the field of roll performances and universities. Rolls 2020 aims to give an update on recent experiences with rolls and to give guidance to future developments,’ said Hugo Uijtdebroeks, Activity manager Metal Processing Technology at CRM Group in Belgium.
So who should attend? Anyone from rolls users and manufacturers to mill builders, managers, quality control or steel and non-ferrous metal research institutes.
Exhibition and sponsor opportunities are also available to promoting your organisation. If you wish to find out more, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts of up to 1000 words for consideration for the programme. The abstract must provide sufficient information for a fair assessment including the objective of the paper, the methodology used and the conclusions or results of the work.
