The Starpack Schools and Student Awards took place at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining in London on 26 June 2019 hosted by radio presenter and event host Andy Miller. This year, the awards welcomed entries from Year 7 up to AS Level, and with 190 entries to judge there was no shortage of excellent work. The judges awarded 32 highly commended, 19 bronze, 24 silver and 15 gold stars.

Students and schools came from across the UK to collect their awards, followed by a trip to the London Eye. The judges praised the level of this year’s entries and regonised the emphasis on current trends.

The 2019 Student Starpack Awards hosted in the afternoon were introduced by Santiago Navarro and Amelia Brown from Garçon Wines who stressed the importance of education and the careers available in packaging. Santiago said, ‘Choose something you are passionate about. Do take risks but be rational with your choices'.

A huge congratulations again to all this year's winners of the Schools and Student Starpack Awards, and also thanks to the sponsors who through their sponsorship and commitment to supporting the competition will encourage and enable these talented students to move forward in industry.
