The integral relationship between financial institutions and the raw materials and minerals extraction industries is explored further in the 3rd Russian-UK Raw Materials Dialogue taking place on 22–24 October in Saint Petersburg, Russia with support from IOM3.

The event is open to anyone with educational, professional or business interests in raw materials, mining or minerals, those looking for professional or business opportunities in the country, to find out how these sectors operate in Russia.

This year, there will be additional focus on the opportunities for investment and collaboration in these sectors between both countries, and the associated technical, environmental and human challenges that must be addressed.

The event is free to attend and the Institute has a number of grants available to support members with transport and visa costs.

Across the three days, there will also be an Early Career Professionals’ day, focusing on team building between those from Russia and the UK, in addition to careers advice from leading business people from both countries.

The full list of speakers and programme will be announced in due course. For travel grants information, contact Barbara.Roberts@iom3.org or for more information on the event, visit bit.ly/2GUvyUd
