Technology Communities Board invites nominations
The IOM3 Managing Board recently approved the restructure of the Industry & Technology Policy Board by creating a new Technical Communities Board (TCB). Nominations are now being sought for the role of Strategic Advisors on the TCB. This voluntary role is open to any member of the Institute. Members can request a full prospectus which sets out the ethos behind the change and includes both the job description and Terms of Reference.
The members of the TCB will act as part of the IOM3 External Affairs Group supporting commentary on current issues in the media. Outgoing CEO Bernie Rickinson said, ‘we are seeking a board membership spanning different grades of membership and our board range of disciplines. Above all, we are seeking excellent communicators who can grow the level of engagement across the Materials Cycle to generate strategic networking of value to members, government and the public’.
The Technology Communities Board is due to launch early in 2019, coincident with the IOM3 150th Anniversary year.
The deadline for nominations is 30 November 2018.
