Starpack Industry Awards Launch

The Starpack Industry Awards are officially open for entry, with this year’s focus on packaging and the environment. The 2019 Starpack Awards will highlight excellence in environmental stewardship by making the prestigious Greenstar Award available to all judging categories. Starpack Industry Award winners are also eligible to enter the renowned WorldStar Awards run by the World Packaging Organisation.

The relaunch of the Starpack Industry Awards is focused on the innovation behind the development of packaging while also highlighting the importance of the people involved in its creation. This year will also focus on technical innovation, on how well the packaging performs its task and meets its brief, differentiating Starpack from its competitors.

The Starpack Awards include the Innovation Awards - Gold, Silver and Bronze Standards - looking at the way materials have been used and the engineering involved to assemble, fill and handle the pack. Categories include Consumer, Business to Business and Machinery.

Also featured is the People Awards, which include Packaging Team of the Year and Packaging Star of the Year, recognise the individuals and the companies involved in packaging innovation.

All packs entered into this year’s Industry Awards will also be considered for Environmental and Inclusive Design recognition.
