Last chance to register for the Particulate Engineering for Industry 4.0 event
For one day the Particulate Engineering Committee as part of IOM3 will host a seminar on Particulate Engineering for Industry 4.0 - From Feedstock to End Use. A host of speakers from AMRC, Quintus, Cedar Metals and the University of Sheffield will join together to discuss engineering and the manufacturing from feedstock stage to end use.
The event will take place on the 27 November 2018 and will feature talks on the following:
- approaches to the latest developments in manufacturing including additive manufacturing and near net shape processes such as HIP and rotational moulding
- secondary processing (heat treatment, machining)
- production and quality control including non-destructive testing with automation aspects when it comes to making a process more efficient and reliable.
Structural integrity aspects of the produce will also be considered when it comes to end user requirements and operating conditions for example looking at high temperature, pressure, and aggressive environments.
The forum will also cover European activities and strategy with examples of major collaborative multi-national developments that are underway.
Sponsors for the event include Quintus Technologies and Hilti and supported by TWC, The Welding Institute and EPMA.
