Young Persons' Lecture Competition Final 2018
Six young people from around the UK will be presenting their lectures on materials, minerals and mining topics to an audience at the Armourers' Hall on Wednesday 25 April. The six finalists will be judged on their presentation skills and put through their paces to answer questions from a panel of three judges.
The stakes are high for this event - the winner goes forward to the World Lecture Competition final in South Africa in October with an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the competition final and associated activities, together with other finalists from around the world.
Members and non members are invited to come and attend the UK final and make their own decision about who deserves to win! The lecture topics include polymer power, solar cells, kitchen knives, magma and nanotechnology.
Attendance is free but registration is required - YPLC final more details
