Timber Expo all set for October
On 10-12 October 2017, the Timber Expo will return for its third edition as part of UK Construction Week at the NEC, Birmingham.
IOM3 is pleased to be an Associated Partner of this year’s event, which promises attendees the chance to not only network with peers, but also to experience a variety of products, services and demonstrations that are new to a massively evolving industry.
As the UK’s only dedicated timber event, it will cover a wide range of timber applications and products from plywood, CLT, cladding and more, there is a host of exhibitors and demonstrations on hand to show visitors how best to utilise this diverse industry.
These include Estonian innovator ÖÖD, premiering its conceptual pod homes ÖÖDHOUSE, and an impressive birch plywood sculpture, sponsored by Hanson Plywood, created by students at the Architectural Associations School of Architecture who have teamed up with our event partner, TRADA.
In addition, TRADA will be hosting an array of unique and current content sessions at the Timber Focus Theatre. Topics include the housing crisis in the UK, the future of digital manufacturing, the diversity of timber and the dynamics of tall timber buildings.
Developing the topics are a series of free CPD seminars bringing together leading authorities to deliver advice and guidance on key issues including:
- Up to date advise on fire prevention in all types of buildings
- Changes to Legislation on Safety
- Advice and guidance on construction product safety
- Your responsibilities in the construction process and protecting you and your employees
