Royal Academy of Engineering new prize
Nominations have now opened for the first Royal Academy of Engineering Armourers and Brasiers Company Prize, to be awarded to an individual for excellence in Materials Engineering demonstrated by successful application of novel materials science and technology in practical engineering systems. The winner will receive a cash prize of £2,000 and a commemorative silver gilt medal.
The nomination process is done online and the closing date for nominations is 23 March 2015.
Please note, the Armourers and Brasiers Venture Prize is also open, the annual prize of £25,000 is awarded in the form of an investment into the enterprise and is judged on a competitive basis by a committee of commercial, financial and scientific experts. The prize aims to help scientists commercialise early stage research and enable the exploitation of new and exciting ideas in the field of materials science.
The deadline is 15 March.
