Minerals and Metals Production from Mine to Market – call for papers

In honour of Professor Derek Fray, this conference is devoted to scientific, technological and socio-economic aspects of the procuring, processing, separating, extracting and refining of minerals and metals and other natural resources relevant in this context.

The programme is expected to cover:

  • Mineral processing
  • Gold and precious metals
  • Hydrometallurgy
  • Molten salts
  • Sustainability and recycling
  • Extractive metallurgy
  • Mining technology
  • Earth sciences
  • Natural resources

This conference is dedicated to Professor Derek Fray to mark his lifetime contributions to and achievements in Minerals Processing and Extractive Metallurgy. Research students and young researchers are encouraged to attend and present their papers such that there is an excellent mix of papers from industry and academic leaders and researchers currently in the midst of original research.

Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts of up to 300 words for consideration for the programme. The abstract must provide sufficient information for a fair assessment including the objective of the paper, the methodology used and the conclusions or results of the work. The abstract must be written in English.

The deadline for submission for consideration for presentation is 30 September 2015. The event takes place from 15–16 December in Cambridge.

All papers and presentations will be in English and a condition of acceptance is that at least one author from each paper will pay to attend the conference and present the work.

Members of IOM3 will receive a discount to this event.
