Exemplary Chartered Environmentalists

29 May 2013

The Chartered Environmentalist qualification is the recognised standard of excellence for environmental practitioners and shows competence in a field relevant to all Institute disciplines. With the increasing importance of environmental issues in today’s society, gaining CEnv status is a major way to display commitment to your professional development and the environment. Members can apply for CEnv status as part of their membership.

The recently established IOM3 Chartered Environmentalist Professional Panel had an inaugural meeting on 23 April to review the 2012 continuing professional development (CPD) reports of members holding this title.

The reviewers noted the overall high standard of the reports they sampled, both in terms of the activities undertaken and their assimilation into formal career development plans. Six Chartered Environmentalists were commended for their submissions, which were rated as exemplars of good practice. These are:
Esther Ajelabi
Jonathan Hillier
Ken Mulholland
Max Chong Hup Ong
Dr Brett Suddell
Dr John Summerscales

In recognition of their achievement, these Chartered Environmentalists have been invited to the Society of the Environment Summer Reception at the House of Lords on the 24 June 2013.
