More than 100 practitioners have recently graduated with a PIABC Diploma qualification in Packaging Technology or gained recognition as an Accredited Packaging Professional through the Packaging Society, a technical division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. To celebrate this achievement, a graduation ceremony was on 4 June 2013 in the Pakex Innovation Hub at the Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition, which this year is being held from 4-6 June at Birmingham’s NEC.

Those graduating with a diploma will be distinguished by being able to use the PIABC post nominal DipPkgTech. Those who have been awarded Accredited Packaging Professional status are also recognised as full professional members of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and may use the designatory letters MIMMM.

The Packaging Society is grateful to the following organisations and companies who are supporting the graduation ceremony event: the World Packaging Organisation, Markem Imaje and Plastique.
