IOM3 learned just before Christmas last year, that due to a significant increase in his responsibilities at Rolls-Royce, Mike Hicks felt unable to take on the role of IOM3 President from 1 January 2013. A series of urgent discussions with Mike, the presidential succession team, and the Institute’s Managing Board and Council, agreed that Jon Binner, already confirmed as Senior Vice President for 2013, would take on the President’s duties for the two-year term 2013–2014. Council also endorsed that Mike Hicks should remain as Senior Vice President and take on the President’s role in January 2015.
