VSO, the world’s leading international
development charity, has launched its first recruitment drive for experienced
professors across the engineering sectors to volunteer in Ethiopia, to depart
in February or September 2013.

Volunteers will teach and train their
academic peers in Ethiopia in various disciplines. They urgently need valuable
and experienced engineers to help train Ethiopian counterparts in universities
and institutes of technology.

Brian Rockliffe, OBE and Director of VSO
UK said, 'there’s a substantial knowledge gap in the fields of engineering to
fill’. With the help of volunteers, VSO hopes to equip Ethiopian engineers with
the knowledge to service the needs of their country.

The charity is holding free events where
interested professionals can find out more about the project.
