Starpack - Celebrating Excellence in Packaging Design

The Starpack Awards welcome Nampak as a new sponsor of the overall winner of the Starpack Schools and Students Awards. The overall winner will win a month placement at Nampak as part of the prize.

The Student and Schools Awards are now open for entry up until 22 February 2013, with a range of new briefs provided by prestigious sponsors from the world of packaging.

Jamie Tinsley, Commercial Director at Nampak, said, “We are very much looking forward to being a part of this year's event, and selecting the overall winner. Seeing young students come through and developing innovative new packaging designs is very encouraging and we are always keen to support them.”

The Starpack Awards celebrate their 54th year in 2013 and it is expected to be the most successful year yet. The winners will be presented with their awards at a glittering awards ceremony, held in the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining London office, in July.

As previous recipients of the Goldstar Award, Nampak have proved winners of the Starpack Awards are eligible to go on to enter Worldstar, a premier packaging awards programme, which sees entrants judged along with packaging peers across the globe.

The Starpack Awards are a great opportunity for students to make their mark in the world of packaging. Previous recipients, including recent winners Luke Booth and Chris Eves are testament to the success that can follow. The pair won a Starpack Award for an innovative McDonald’s takeaway food box design and have since launched the incredibly successful company, P4CK, which now has clients including Empire Cinemas.
