The Institute’s Literature Review Prize encourages students to produce definitive, critical reviews of literature as an essential part of study for a higher degree. It makes the best of these available to a wider readership through publication. The Prize is open to postgraduates studying for a materials science and engineering related qualification at a UK institution.
The deadline for entries for the 2008 competition is 31 August 2007. Candidates must submit:
- a 500 word extended abstract for a literature review associated with a materials related higher degree project
- an outline for the review including section and subsection headings
- a brief biography
- a statement of support by the candidate’s supervisor.
