Nominations sought for 2007 Beilby Medal and Prize

Nominations are invited for the 2007 Beilby Medal and Prize. The award is made annually in recognition of a significant contribution to chemical engineering, applied materials science or energy efficiency, with preference given to candidates under 40 years of age. The closing date for applications is 16 February 2007.

The award is administered in rotation by IOM3, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Society for Chemical Industry. In 2006 the medal and £1,000 prize money was presented to Dr Markus Kraft from the University of Cambridge, UK, for his research in chemical engineering. He has recently received an EPSRC grant for a three-year project analysing population balance models.
