Volunteer Support for IOM3
Are you passionate about The Institute and its goals? Would you like to give something back to the materials, minerals and mining communities? Fancy a new challenge for your personal development?
As our 150th year of celebration comes to an end and we implement the recently agreed governance changes we are looking to recruit new volunteers to support our reformed boards, committees and other volunteer activities and drive our new strategy forward.
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of IOM3, supporting the Institute in reaching its goals and delivering member benefit. We have roles for volunteers with strong technical expertise, experience of any of the range of IOM3 activities including accreditation, awards, conference and events, education and outreach, information management, training, professional registration and publishing, or a background in audit, finance, law, governance or membership.
In return, volunteers receive training appropriate to their role and get to be part of the life of their Institute, with the opportunity to develop new skills as part of the wider Institute team delivering our vision to be recognised as the global leader for professionals involved with the materials cycle.
At the moment, we have particular opportunities for individuals with strengths in:
- Book publishing
- Technical authorship
We are particularly keen to improve the diversity of our volunteer cadre.
We are happy to arrange informal conversations for anyone who wants to find out more about the opportunities – please contact Anita Horton.
