IOM3 is looking for a Technical Community Administrator based in Grantham to work closely with the Head of Technical Community Support and the Business Support Team to help monitor and report on TC activity and help encourage a consistent approach. This is an office-based role with remote work on Fridays.

This role will report to the Head of Technical Community Support and involve working with a diverse mix of staff and members from all backgrounds, covering a wide range of disciplines served by IOM3.

This position would suit someone with an administrative background interested in the role materials, minerals, and mining play in policy and societal issues.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has excellent organisation and communication skills, with some IT and CRM experience. You also can work on multiple projects simultaneously, take ownership of these and deliver on time while working as part of a team and developing relationships. A technical knowledge of materials, minerals, or any STEM-related discipline are appreciated but not necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of Technical Community objectives including production of technical content, events, professional development, policy and influence against current Terms of Reference and monitor developed metrics
  • Offering Technical Community support:
    • Review and update the TC webpages – both public and private and keep them active and fresh
    • Organising TC Leadership Team (TCLT) meetings as and when required, potentially attending some online or in-person
    • Liaising with TC groups and working with the Head of TC Support to provide coverage across all 22 TCs
    • Work with the Communication/PR Team to ensure TC activity is communicated to members
    • Supporting the Head of TCS at external events, etc
  • Working with Business Support Team, to manage and coordinate meetings, events, and building works within the Grantham hub, including meeting room set up, organising refreshments, locking and closing the building, and the first point of contact on-site for any building-related issues.
