Policy Research Fellows - the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3)

Job description

IOM3, a leading membership organisation for the materials, minerals and mining communities in the UK and overseas, is seeking to recruit two Policy Research Fellows.

These newly created roles will work closely with the Head of Specialist Support and be part of a small team that supports technical communities, volunteers, contractors and the wider Institute team to ensure relevant, high quality technical content is produced for our members and wider society. This includes conferences, training, publications, webinars or other formats. Alongside generating and commissioning content ideas and supporting the technical communities to do the same, this role may also support the Institute’s work in developing global standards for engineering competence.

This position would suit someone with a relevant technical background who is interested in the important roles materials, minerals and mining topics play in wider policy and societal issues.

One role is available immediately; the other from January 2020.
