Library Assistant

Reporting to: Information Officer

Location: Grantham

IOM3, a leading membership organisation for the materials, minerals and mining communities in the UK and overseas, is seeking a Library Assistant to join our Grantham office in a new role within the team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organised and have great attention to detail.

The role involves cataloguing and maintenance of databases, data input and updating records. Provision of our photocopy service including document retrieval, photocopying, despatching, invoicing, payment including CLA fees when required and usage report, managing book loan postal requests, despatch, recalling and return loans and general library duties, such as regularly shelving, tidying, processing and other collection maintenance.

Reporting to the Information Officer based in London, applicants should posses excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated and have strong written communication skills.
