You will be able to develop your Board-level experience and skills whilst giving back to the wider materials, minerals, and mining communities. The role is for an initial four-year term of office.
We expect the successful individual to have:
• a strong understanding of commercial and not-for-profit sector financial reports;

• ability to present financial information clearly to a range of audiences.
• experience of the governance of budgetary and contract management;
• experience of risk management;
Ideally, the successful candidate will also have an understanding of the financial dynamics of a professional body, but this can be learned ‘on the job’. Our active supporters and volunteers are offered access to training on the roles and responsibilities of a charitable Trustee, committee chairing and other training opportunities as appropriate.
