Are you interested in becoming more involved in the business of the Institute? Are you interested in maintaining and helping to develop professional engineering standards? 

The RSC has oversight of matters to do with the education, training and professional development of professional engineers and technicians. It is responsible for the standards of competence and commitment, and the underpinning knowledge and understanding requirements for professional registration. This includes publishing the Registration Code of Practice that aligns with the requirements of the United Kingdom Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC) and the Accreditation of HE Programmes manual. This role will involve representing the professional policies and interests of IOM3 at up to four meetings of the RSC each year. All meetings of the RSC are currently held virtually. 

In addition, this role is ex-office to the Professional Standards and Development Board (PSDB) and will also involve attending or submitting reports to three meetings of this group each year, as well as maintaining a dialogue with the IOM3 team. All meetings of the PSDB are held virtually. 

Suitable candidates will be registered as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) through IOM3 and be able to demonstrate experience of licenced activity assessing for IOM3 in either accreditation or the interviewing of candidates for professional registration.
