Books Committee Vacancies - IOM3

Job description

IOM3 is seeking up to four people to participate in the new joint IOM3 and Taylor & Francis Books Committee. 

This committee will work on recommendations and proposals for new book projects while working to ensure adequate coverage of technical topics. 

Ideally, we are seeking to appoint at least one candidate who is well established in their career with significant experience of publishing and at least one at earlier career stage. Consideration will also be given to ensuring appointments are representative of the range of IOM3 members and communities. 

Deliverables and Expectations

  • The Books Committee shall report quarterly.
  • It will regularly advise of potential future publications, and ensure that draft manuscripts are subject to expert review and adjusted as necessary prior to production.
  • It will work with T&F to develop a publishing programme in all aspects of materials, minerals, and mining.
  • The role includes suggesting relevant and key subject areas in which to publish.

Expenses will be covered.
