Become a member of our new revenue board - IOM3

Job description

Are you passionate about the Institute and its goals? Would you like to give something back to the materials, minerals, and mining communities? Fancy a new challenge for your personal development to broaden your experience? Apply to join our new board that will provide strategic guidance to our non-membership revenue generating activities. Alongside contributing to the professional community, you will get an insight into running a membership organisation, experience a non-executive role and be able to help shape the Institute’s thinking and steer its future innovation.

We are looking for four to six member volunteers with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Academic and journals publishing
  • Business development
  • Conferences and events
  • Digital information and library services
  • Marketing and communications
  • Training
  • Venue hire

We are keen to improve the diversity of our governance structures so would particularly welcome applications from members with backgrounds that are currently under-represented.

This board is chaired by Jan Lewis, former President of IOM3, and reports to the Executive Board, the top level of governance of the Institute. Alongside Jan, one other member of the board will also be invited to sit on the Executive Board. The board is being newly formed but is expected to meet virtually 3-4 times a year and physically once, pandemic allowing.
