Clay Technology Training and Qualifications
Clay Technology Training is delivered by IOM3 Communications Ltd in association with The International Clay Technology Association (ICTa).
Level 2 Award in Clay Technology
The course is run over approximately 3 months, taught mainly on a distance learning basis supported by tutorial sessions culminating in a PIABC Accredited Examination.
A perfect introduction to the Industry for those with little or no practical experience. Suitable for new operatives through to non production workers who would benefit from Industry knowledge.
Level 3 Certificate in Clay Technology
The Certificate in Clay Technology is offered at Level 3. The course is of 30 weeks duration, taught mainly on a distance learning basis supported by a workshop with tutorial sessions and a Mock Exam, culminating in a PIABC Accredited Examination.
Leading on from level 2 and most suited to those with some prior knowledge and experience of the industry. A more indepth and challenging course.
CPD Scheme for Clay Quarry Managers and Responsible Persons
Competence based training (for quarry managers and responsible persons) is a legal requirement of The Quarry Regulations 1999 and an expectation of the HSE.
CPD is managed by The Joint Approval Board (JAB) which is made up of IOM3, BCC and industry representatives

Level 4 Advanced Clay Quarry Managers Course
The next level Two Day course for Employees or Contractors who have responsibility for managing and overseeing geotechnical aspects within an extractives and mineral processing environment, in line with those set out in the Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP. This Advanced knowledge course will benefit individuals who are involved in and responsible for carrying out geotechnical inspections in the workplace and give a greater understanding of the requirements during appraisals and when assessments will be required. one day top up class to make sure that you are still up to date with all the Quarry Regulations.
