DESCRIPTION:Cononish Gold Mine is Scotland's only commercial gold and silver mine, located near  Tyndrum and within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Now operated by Acrux Gold, production resumed in January 2026, following the administration of the previous operator, Scotgold Resources. \n
 \n
 The visit will hopefully include an underground tour and there will also be the chance to see the dry stacks tailings, discuss the environmental side and a walk through of the processing plant. \n
 \n
 The mine is accessed from the A82, at Dalrigh, east of Tyndrum - details on flyer.\n
 \n
 Please aim to arrive on time, noting that the track from Dalrigh up to the mine is unsurfaced.  Please allow 30 minutes to navigate the track off the A82.\n
 \n
 If you have them, please bring your own PPE (safety glasses, work gloves, hard hats, regular waterproof jacket (the mine is pretty wet) and steel-toe capped wellington boots). If you don’t have PPE, the mine can provide but please provide your shoe size in your reply.  The mine will provide tea and coffee but please bring your own lunch .\n
