The N+P Teesside fuel preparation plant is designed to receive over 250,000 t per annum of waste paper, cardboard and plastic to produce over 150,000 t per annum of alternative fuel to supply into various industries including, cement, power generation, steel blast furnaces and the lime industry. The process is patented and the applications mentioned above are in the process of being patented. The registered trade name of the fuel is Subcoal and is very popular amongst the above mentioned industries especially during these very volatile times in terms of energy supply and the dash to zero carbon. Subcoal has a heat content very similar to coal, is cleaner than coal resulting in improved emissions and has a biomass content of over 50%. All the fuel is currently exported but UK industry is now looking very closely at Subcoal as the way forward. Visit is limited to 10. PLease e-mail cieevents@iom3materialscycle.org
