Advances in Corrosion Protection by Organic Coatings - 2015
The 6th International Conference on "Advances in Corrosion Protection by Organic Coatings" (ACPOC - 2015) will run over 4 days at Christ’s College, Cambridge as a single session from Monday 20th July to Thursday 23rd July 2015, starting Monday mid‐morning and ending Thursday afternoon.
On Thursday 23rd July there will be a special one‐day event focusing on the AkzoNobel / University of Manchester research partnership. Please let us know whether you would be interested in being invited.
Oral presentations (around 30 minutes) are solicited from senior, mid‐career, junior and student colleagues alike with no preference – in a single session there are no plenaries! Poster presentations are welcome however authors will be required to provide a 5 minute talk about their work.
Registration: £350 (students £175 kindly sponsored by AkzoNobel) includes all refreshments, luncheons, Welcome Reception on Monday and Conference Banquet in the Hall on Tuesday.
Papers in the following areas are to be welcomed: polymer film formation, transport properties, pigments, adhesion, smart coatings, interfacial modification, adhesion enhancement, under‐film corrosion, blistering, dis‐bonding, polymer degradation, metallic and non‐metallic substrates, conversion layers, surface preparation, unusual environments, electro‐polymers, filiform corrosion, rust converters, assessment of surfaces, accelerated testing. Other research areas not covered by the above but within the general theme of the Conference will also be acceptable.
Selected conference papers will be published in a special issue of Corrosion Engineering Science and Technology.
The conference is in memory of Prof. David Scantlebury who organised this quinquennial series of events from 1989 to 2009.
