AGM & October Lecture

2 Oct 2018
Middlesbrough, Cleveland

John Dale will serve a second year as President, so there will be no second Presidential Address.  After the short AGM on Tuesday 2nd October at 6pm in the Centuria Building, Professor David Sims-Williams will speak about the Durham University Solar Powered Car.

Every two years teams from around the world try to cross the Australian continent with cars powered only by the sun. While solar power means that the cars are “zero carbon”, the real relevance is in the engineering required to create a car that drives at highway speed on half the power of a hairdryer.

A poster is downloadable below.  If you can print and display this, or circulate a link to this item further, that would be much appreciated.

Coffee & chat at 5:30pm, AGM starts at 6pm.
