Scholarships, grants and bursaries for research and travel relating to the Materials, Metals, Minerals and Mining disciplines.
IOM3 has a number of funds available for the support of research and travel in the materials, metals, minerals and mining disciplines. Awards are made in the form of scholarships, grants and bursaries with specific criteria for funding.
Funds are available for research, postgraduate study, career development and travel expenses.
Applications for funding are judged in respect of academic excellence and scholarship. The application must therefore specify ability.
Applicants must ensure that the fund from which support is being sought is relevant to their field of interest. Applications open in October and close at the end of March the following year. Applications will be judged by a judging panel in April and then the grant will be awarded, if successful. Some of the awards require a report on the activity for which the funds have been used.
