To a Local Society whose overall performance has been judged to be the most improved of the year.

Local Society of the Year Awards

The prestigious Local Society of the Year Award is judged on the following criteria criteria:

  • Membership
  • Communication
  • Events

Emphasis is given on year-on-year improvement and taking into account specific activities that promote Institute membership, The Member's Benevolent Trust and YPLC heat organisation.

The award is presented annually to two Local Societies based on the grant application form submitted by the Treasurers. Immediate past winners cannot submit a nomination for the current year.

The prize is £1,000 to organise a prestigious event and 2 members of the Local Society will be invited to atted the IOM3 Premier Awards Dinner.

Award judging

Nominations for the Local Society of the Year Awards are judged by the Local Affairs Committee.
