    Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. Our offices will close for the Christmas break at 5pm on Friday 21 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 2 January 2019.

    This year, IOM3 celebrates its 150th anniversary, tracing its roots back to 1869 when the Iron and Steel Institute (ISI) was founded as an association to address practical and scientific questions connected with iron and steel. Our mission has remained constant throughout these 150 years will so and will do into the future.
  • Technology Communities Board invites nominations

    IOM3
    The IOM3 Managing Board recently approved the restructure of the Industry & Technology Policy Board by creating a new Technical Communities Board (TCB). Nominations are now being sought for the role of Strategic Advisors on the TCB. This voluntary role is open to any member of the Institute. Members can request a full prospectus which sets out the ethos behind the change and includes both the job description and Terms of Reference.
