IOM3 Schools Affiliate Scheme

The IOM3 Schools Affiliate Scheme was established in 1999 and has members from all over the United Kingdom and across Europe. The aim of the scheme is to support the teaching of the materials, minerals and mining related topics in the key stage 3, key stage 4 and post-16 curriculum, and to raise awareness of and promote careers in the fields of materials, minerals and mining engineering.

Registration is now open for the Schools Starpack Awards 2012.

PROCEED TO ONLINE REGISTRATION

Gold, Silver, Bronze and Highly Commended certificates are awarded. Each brief also awards prizes of up to £500 to winning schools and up to £50 for individual students.

The winning packs for the 2011 competition with photos, judges' comments and the original design briefs are now available to view on the 2011 winners' pages.

Background

The Schools Starpack Packaging Design Awards are designed to encourage students to take up a career in the exciting world of consumer packaging design.

The school awards, now in their thirteenth year, form part of the Annual Starpack Awards programme which also includes the Starpack Industry Awards and the Student Starpack Packaging Design Awards for Colleges and Universities.
