A New Board Member for the SAA

We welcome Dr Andrew Slark as a new Board member of the Society for Adhesion and Adhesives.

Andrew is a polymer chemist who took his first degree and PhD at Loughborough University in the UK. In 1990 he joined ICI working on application and product development in the field of coatings, inks and adhesives. His expertise extends to applications in the field of electronics and also to acrylic chemistries for both coatings and adhesives.

In 2001 he moved to National Starch and, since Henkel took them over, he is working in applied research concentrating on polyurethanes.

In his spare time, Andrew is a keen rugby union player; also coaching the Bracknell under-12s team.
