Competition
for Young Engineers
A poster competition for young engineers is being held at the House of
Commons on 12 December 2006. Organised by SET for BRITAIN, who encourage and
support Britain's younger scientists, engineers and technologists,
applications are sought from all areas of engineering research and R&D.
First prize will be £5,000 and a gold medal, with several other awards of
£1,000 and £500 donated by industry sponsors. The competition aims to
promote engineering, encourage networking and reward excellence. There will
be ample opportunity to engage with other young engineers and the research
community, and to bring scientific research to the attention of MPs.
The competition is open to those under 36 years of age. Abstracts must be
submitted electronically by 17 November. For further information, visit
www.setforeurope.org and click on Engineering 2006. For queries, please
