World Congress on Adhesion and Related Phenomena

The fourth World Congress on Adhesion and Related Phenomena [WCARP-IV] will be held in the Bordeaux region of France, at Arcachon, between 26 and 30 September 2010. This will follow successful conferences in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany in 1998 [WCARP-I], Orlando, Florida in 2002 [WCARP-II] and Beijing in 2006 [WCARP-III].

The WCARP Series of conferences brings together most of the world's major adhesion societies and scientists under one roof. WCARP-IV is no exception in that the hosts, the French Adhesion Society [Sfv/Sfa], are working in conjunction with the Adhesion Society [USA], the Society for Adhesion and Adhesives [UK], DECHEMA e.V. [Germany], the Society of Adhesion and Interface, Korea, the Japanese Adhesion Society, the Beijing Adhesion Society and the Spanish Adhesion Society to mount a multi-disciplined conference.

To this end, the scientific committee is now seeking papers on all aspects of adhesion and related phenomena, to include:

Fundamental aspects of adhesion, Science and technology of surfaces, Chemistry of adhesives, Structural joining, Polymer films, Biological and medical aspects of adhesion, Highly deformable adhesive systems, Composites and nano-composites and Industrial challenges

More details on the Call for Papers, the scope of the above subject matters, conference organisation and registration are to be found on the WCARP-IV website which is now fully functional.
