Technician of the Year award winners
The 2008 Technician of the Year award winners were presented with their awards at a ceremony in London.
Christopher Morrison of Cleveland Potash Ltd received the higher award as a student on an NVQ Level 3. His studies at Cleveland College will lead to a Higher National Certificate. Morrison is employed in the TTE Technical Training Group at Cleveland as an Electrical Apprentice.

The national award went to Thomas Barnes of UK Coal Mining Ltd. Thomas is studying for an Advanced Electrical Apprenticeship in Maintenance Engineering (Mining) at Doncaster College. As an Underground Electrician at UK Coal Mining he is responsible for maintaining static and mobile equipment, fault finding and repair.
