Revival of tin mining in Cornwall, UK

Tin mining may soon be revived in Cornwall, UK, as a BBC Radio 4 programme will reveal.

South Crofty mine near Redruth has reopened after being closed for 20 years. It is not yet producing ore, but new owners Baseresult Holdings Ltd is confident that its new mine will prove profitable.

Tin Men will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 at 11.00 GMT on 11 March. For the following week, it will be available to listen to on the BBC website.
