Photography competition to capture the essence of materials in Defence, Safety or Security

The IOM3 Defence Safety and Security Committee (DSSC) announce their 2nd photographic competition. The committee continues the search for the best photographs to help promote the activity of the DSSC to both members and the general public.

Eoin O’Keefe (Chairman of the DSSC) says “We have all taken pictures we are proud of, but we are not sure what to do with them. Our competition is a chance for all aspiring amateur photographers to show their skill by taking an image that features the role of materials in Defence or Safety or Security”.

The worthy winners will have their pictures prominently displayed at the IOM3 HQ at 1 Carlton House Terrace, printed in IOM3 publications including Materials World and prominently displayed on the DSSC homepage.

If that is not enough to fire up your imagination and enthusiasm, there is also a great prize for the winning entry! choose between a tank driving experience day or a £250 voucher for photographic equipment.

he competition is open to entries until 25 November 2011 – so time to get your cameras out and create that winning picture!

Full details rules and how to submit your pictures over the internet can be found via the ‘photographic competition’ button on the DSSC home page menu bar.
