New surface engineering award for 2010

A new Institute award for 2010, the Tom Bell Award, recognises excellence in surface engineering. It acknowledges the outstanding contribution by an individual to this field of materials science. Completed nomination forms for the 2010 award must be received by 18 December.

This biennial award recognises the immense contribution that Professor Tom Bell made to the development of the Institute's Surface Engineering Division. The award winner will be invited to deliver the Harold Moore Memorial Lecture the year after they receive the Tom Bell Award.
