New look for Starpack website

Starpack Awards logo

A new website has been launched for Starpack.

The new site brings the packaging awards into the main IOM3 website, displaying the latest news on both the 2009 awards and the 2010 briefs, as well as features from The Packaging Professional and Materials World magazines.

Awards ceremonies appear as events, and a forum is now available where everyone involved in Starpack can discuss the competition, exchange ideas and ask questions.

The new site features photos and details of all the winners from the Starpack Awards 2009, announced at the NEC, Birmingham on 30 September. Winners of this year’s Schools and Students competitions are also displayed. The galleries of winning packs from previous years, available on the previous Starpack site, will be available on the new website in the coming weeks.

About the Starpack Awards

The Industry Awards scheme has been running since 1960 and celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Starpack is the premier UK annual scheme recognising innovation in packaging design and technology. It encompasses the Packaging Design Awards for Schools and the Packaging Design Awards for Students.

Run by The Packaging Society, a Division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, Starpack is the UK packaging industry's most prestigious awards scheme, aiming to help raise packaging standards by rewarding and encouraging creativity. The awards are an integral part of the packaging industry, and their culmination at the annual Packaging Industry Awards Ceremony is a highlight of the packaging industry calendar.
