The Institute extends its congratulations to the following candidates, who all passed this year’s Examination in Mining Law Relating to Health and Safety:

  • Ian David Kingston
  • Desmond Limb

The Institute-organised Examination took place in June 2008, with a syllabus approved by the Mining Qualifications Board. The exam is a requirement of the Health and Safety Executive for those managing mines over a certain size and those wishing to gain engineering certificates.
