Postgraduate Literature Review CompetitionPostgraduate students wishing to enter the Institute¹s Literature Review Prize should submit extended abstracts by 15 November 2006. The competition aims to encourage a critical approach, and finalists will have to give a 15 minute presentation to a panel.The 1,500 word abstract should be associated with a materials related higher degree project, and entrants must be registered in the UK on a higher degree in a materials science and engineering related qualification. A prize of £250 is available to the winner, with reviews that are highly commended receiving £100. Subject to approval, these essays will be published in the Institute¹s journal Materials Science and Technology.
