IOM3 organises WorldStar judging

The 2011 WorldStar Awards for excellence in packaging are being judged at the Institute’s Grantham office from 14 to 18 November. The Awards create a standard of international packaging excellence from which others can learn.

Packs that win national competitions, such as the The Packaging Society’s Starpack Awards, are eligible to enter the WorldStar competition. Entries are compared by a panel of judges to similar packages from around the world. Winning entries will be best-in-class in execution or innovation by comparison to other packs.

As part of the visit by an international panel of judges, a number of activities have been organised to give them a taste of Britain. Alongside a welcome address by the Mayor of Grantham, there will be traditional English pub games, a visit to the historic city of Lincoln and beer tasting.

The winning entries will be announced in December.
