Green Polymers Workshop
The second in the series of MATERIALS AND DESIGN EXCHANGE (MADE) workshops
will be on the subject "Working with Nature - Green Design Polymers". To be
held in London on Thursday 8th February, the workshop is aimed at presenting
the opportunities and challenges associated with making plastics and plastic
products more environmentally friendly. It will therefore encompass a
wide range of subject areas, from biodegradable polymers to sustainable
design and concludes with a presentation on where we are now with growing
polymers, as well as other chemicals, as non-food crops.

The Materials and Design Exchange is aimed at increasing the knowledge of
product designers as to what is now possible with the new materials and
processes that are being developed. The intention is to improve
communications and stimulate the exchange of ideas between the materials and
design communities.
